Greetings Meredith And Fellow Fans! (General)

Dear Meredith :-)

Hello, I'm Michael Holloway from South Australia! :-)

How are you and your wonderful family? :-)

A little about me, I live right at the southernmost tip of South Australia, and I'm right near the sea. However, I'm also right in a valley at the foot of the Adelaide Hills so I live in a very forested area near the sea. I am currently a Postgraduate student at my University where I am working on a thesis about the empowerment of women through music and magic. This thesis will involve a novel I am writing entitled Chords In The Storm and a critical exegesis on fantasy literature with a musical element, most notably The Spellsong Cycle novels by L.E Modesitt Jr.. The other part of the exegesis will comprise a critical analysis of the life histories of a select group of female musicians whose contribution to the empowerment of female rock artists has been revolutionary and I will also be analysing the actual music itself. The Go-Go's and The Bangles are my main inspirations as are performers like yourself, as well as Siobhan Maher-Kennedy, Anna Waronker, Petra Haden, Abby Travis, Susan Cowsill, Gia Ciambotti, and Dominique Davalos among other luminaries. :-)

As a lot of my thesis research is about the theme of mentorship in music, I am very interested in learning more about AMP (Anybody's Mentoring Program) and would love to ask you more questions about it in future if you wouldn't mind. :-)

I am excited to know when If I Could Be is due to be released. I can't wait to check out your new album, which I'm sure will be as awesome as Blurring The Edges, Deconstruction, Bad Bad One, Shine, and even See It Through My Eyes, all of which were stunning and heartfelt albums. I especially love your album Perfect View with Charlotte Caffey and Gia Ciambotti in The Graces. :-)

I think you're a lovely and talented lady with a great voice, instrumental style, and range of songs. It is artists like you who inspire my own creativity for which I'm grateful. Rock on! :-)

If you don't mind, I would like to introduce you to a friend of mine from LA, a musician named Jon Peter Lewis. He's releasing a debut CD on November 7 called Stories From Hollywood and has played several successful live gigs across the States including the Viper Room on October 18. Jon has a double sided single If I Go Away and Man Like Me now available for purchase on Amazon.Com. He's a singer-songwriter-guitarist, and is really talented and friendly. I hope you'll consider checking out his music someday when you're not busy. Debbi Peterson from The Bangles has been wonderfully supportive of Jon, by promoting him on her MySpace and bio page on The Bangles website. :-)

Here's Jon Peter Lewis' MySpace and Official Website... :-)

I was wondering if you have a MySpace, Meredith. If so, I would love to add you as a friend and would be honoured if you would add me as a friend. :-)

I would also love it if you would consider performing a concert tour in Australia, especially Adelaide, my city. :-)

Yours sincerely, Michael (Mikey) :-)

Hi Rose :-)

I've been a fan of Meredith Brooks for a long while now. I first became a fan of hers when I discovered that Charlotte Caffey from The Go-Go's has released an album called Perfect View with her new band The Graces, featuring Meredith and Gia Ciambotti. I love the album, it's my personal favourite album in my whole collection, and I loved Charlotte's, Meredith's, and Gia's songs equally. Then I discovered Meredith's solo albums and fell in love with those too. :-)

I've been browsing Meredith's site for a long time now, but I only just thought about joining her forum. I'm not the webmaster of MySpace, I'm just one of it's many members. :-)

Some of my favourite Meredith songs are: Fear No Love, 50,000 Candles Burning (with Gia), See It Through My Eyes, Bitch, My Little Town, Cosmic Woo Woo, Back To Eden, Sin City, Shine, Where Lovers Meet, You Don't Know Me, and Your Name. :-)

Cheers, Mikey :-)

@ Meredith Brooks

Greetings Meredith And Fellow Fans!

Thanks so much for answering me Meredith! I am so honoured to hear from you! I LOVE your music (and have/love all your CDs to date), and I now have my copy of "If I Could Be" which is a beautiful album. I will share my review of your CD soon, along with some questions relating to my thesis - and thanks for being so kind in agreeing to answer some! I've not been too well lately, but I plan on returning to my studies very soon, and then I will be ready to ask questions. :)

I hope you'll tour Australia or release a concert DVD someday!

Your bandmate in The Graces, Gia Ciambotti, has released her new album "Right As Rain" which is also lovely. She also released a children's album, "Snowflake" a few years ago. Gia's MySpace is as follows and she's become a good friend to me, a very lovely lady indeed.

I would love to write to Charlotte Caffey as well, but I'm not sure where to contact her.

Also, I hope you don't mind, Meredith, but I was wondering if you would be interested in helping promote a new music project for a very worthy cause.

The fabulously talented actor Val Kilmer, who I'm honoured to be a devoted fan of as well as a Street Team member for, is working on releasing his debut album and has announcements on his Official MySpaces...

Val's a great guy as well as a wonderful actor, as I'm sure you know, but he's also a fabulous singer whose music deserves to be heard, so I hope you might be interested in helping me promote it. The proceeds from the sale of the CDs will be going to Val's charities. Also, Val recently made a personal appearance at the East Coast Classic Car Association's 7th Annual Orchard Beach Car Show, a charity event, which seeks to raise money for various social, humanitarian and environmental issues. One such cause that Val has raised money for at the car show (which I was unable to attend for obvious geographical reasons) is for the families of police officers who were killed in the September 11th disaster. Val is also committed to helping the Wildlife Centre through proceeds of his music.

Val has asked his fans worldwide to help send around the following message in the media.

****PERSONAL APPEARANCE by VAL KILMER

I will be appearing at THE CHILLER THEATRE EXPO
in New Jersey, Fri, Sat and Sun - OCTOBER 5-7.
Click on the link for details.

Friday - 6 pm-11 pm
Saturday - 11 am-7 pm
Sunday - 11 am-5 pm

At the CHILLER THEATRE EXPO, I will be offering autographed copies of my brand new poetry book "Jack's Ghandi, poetry by val kilmer" AND copies of my new limited edition CD which contains seven of our demo tracks produced at a higher quality than what is available for download available for purchase and all profits from both will go to charity.

** The first 1000 copies of Jack's Gandhi will be without ISBN numbers and will initially only be available for sale at the show. (Not having an ISBN number means it cannot be catalogued, or sold through normal book channels!)

And I will be auctioning a first edition,
autographed copy of my original poetry book
"My Edens After Burns".

All for charity.

I look forward to seeing all my fans and friends at the autograph signing in New Jersey!

Thank you,
Val Kilmer
XOXO****

I understand this is a rather long message and you might not have time nor space to respond, but Val is doing such great things for this world and I am just one of many people dedicated to helping him achieve these goals.

Cheers, Michael

Hey Rob

I'm so sorry I haven't written back to you yet. I hope you didn't think I was rude or unfriendly. I just saw Meredith had replied to me and I was so excited I forgot that other group members were also writing to me! It's nice to hear from another Aussie fan of the lovely and talented Meredith Brooks. I only hope if Meredith reads this reply that she will know how much her Aussie fans would LOVE her to tour Down Under. I know I would love to see Meredith in concert.

Although I love all Meredith's albums, I think "Deconstruction" is my favourite, because I am especially fond of "Cosmic Woo Woo", "Back To Eden", and "Sin City". I'd love to hear those performed live!

Also, Meredith, would you consider releasing a concert DVD? That would also rock!

Cheers, Mikey :)
